When McCain says that he knows how to win wars, he is opening a window on a mentality shaped by the loss in Vietnam that is itching for a rematch. Where W has been led into multiple debacles by his laziness and avid pro war proponents, McCain's lust for conflict comes from who he really is. This Georgian episode has shown a bright light on how belligerent this man is. I pray that the American people recoil from the macho, chip on the shoulder nonsense that this guy exudes.
The John Wayne swagger that W puts on is an affectation. The psychological swagger that impels McCain is all too real.
