Obama is getting the numbers due to body surf pic!
The surfer blogs and sites are on fire with the image of Obama body surfing. If its one thing we surfer types can do, its spot a poser...Obama isn't posing!
Now, if we can get all of the saltwater brained dummies to vote...

GO Obama!

15. One my all time favorite people!
And notice that he's skinnier than Obama. Of course, it was because of his Addison's disease, but he was still thinner than Obama.

8. Head first into the sand, a posers fav technique!
But note O's form, hand carving the way, his slippery side presented to the wave face...its obvious the man has had some water time!

9. Many things show he is not a poser
He is choosing to take a left or right on the wave vs riding it straight in.
His arm is helping direct his angle of attack on the wave. His chest is
arched and his head is out of the water while riding the wave.

6. LOL! Well, that is a really great pic, and I'm glad it's getting attention.
Okay, we'll need Dems to register surfers and get them to the polls...

14. i grew up bodysurfing as well but
i never did it like that! we would jump to catch the wave and put both hands in front . . . like diving. that form must be peculiar to hawaii.

16. That's how you break your neck or could get injured (like diving)
That's not body surfing but playing in the surf. What you see is not
a Hawaiian thing or West coast style, you are seeing real body surfing.

I've seen a lot of neck and back injuries from novices.

"The Wedge" at Newport, California is perhaps the most famous body surfing
spot in the USA.

17. waves peel off to the right or left. You use your one hand out to go with the break and the other
usually tight to your side.

18. well, our waves were usually swells and did not often get as big
as hawaii's waves. i think our reef and sandbar kept our waves from getting too big and from breaking to the left or right. that said, i never knew anyone to have injured him or herself body surfing in this manner. otoh, i DO know of surfers on boards that did . . . including one broken neck.
