Want to Win? Get Your Nose Out of Your Computers

A Bloomberg recent news article reported that both campaigns agree that this race will be won/lost by woman 54 and older (and we know Obama isn't exactly burning up the turf with voters over 65 either). Well here's a hint why McCain is coming on and Obama is stagnant (from a woman in her 60's). All I hear is about all the cute clips and ads and jingles and whatever on the web. Elders don't "surf the web" just like McCain can't even e-mail! If you are going to make a dent in the population you need to make a dent in, these "cute" things need to be TV ads that the elders can see between their "programs". So stop laughing at McCain's team for not being very computer saavy---they are pumping out the ads that are effecting Obama greatly. You can keep the youngins' entertained all you want; but when push comes to shove you better start learning what "media" gets to the old crowd and learn it fast--or go door to door and give Grandma a crash course on why she would just have a hoot looking a YouTube or whatever the thing is called. McCain crowd knows how to reach this voting block and we don't.

I'm going to be making phone calls in my precinct this weekend. I assume that most of the people I want to reach can use the phone! ;)

And that's how the Obama campaign reached me to be a Precinct leader - they phoned me practically every day for 2 weeks.
