Cheney does it again
Dick is once again using his position as lightening rod to split and divide us. I couldn’t understand why he would admit that he is against a gay marriage amendment but I think he did that on purpose to show that Bush is running things and to reach out to conservative gays, real genius, real evil genius.

4. Nice Graphic! You can lose wars by being insensitive.
First you get into them, then you lose.

2. No, either you are for something and take an open stand, or you are
against it and support it.

If he were truly against a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, he would say that and there would be no qualifying statement about being able to support the administration's petty point of view (which I know is an understatement).

This is just Dick being a weasel.

6. I don't see it as a divide and conquer strategy
Edited on Wed Aug-25-04 06:15 AM by Lefty Pragmatist
any more than I see Kerry saying he is personally against abortion but supportive of the choice laws as an attempt to divide and conquer the right.

Cheney has a problem with huge negatives, and in particular all but the most intense Christaliban see his rejection of Mary Cheney has cold and worrisome. He's trying to create "Cheney with a human face" here.

Pure image management.
