Sometime this week I think I'll be getting a text message

and this place will go absolutley apeshit with half the people saying great pick and half the people saying we lost the election. My perspective is VP candidates have 3 events.

The announcement
The Convention Speech
The VP Debate

After that they spend most of their time attacking the GOP candidate and going through swing states with a stump speech on why the candidate is such a great guy.

As long as they don't do something incredibly stupid they don't hurt or help that much.

So no matter who Obama picks I'm going to have faith that his advisors know more than I do and have done their homework because they haven't let me down to much to this point and keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully most people here will do the same after the intial craziness.
