Obama seems completely calm...
He doesn't look like he is torn about his choice. Do you all think the final decision has been made? Or do you think he is still trying to choose "the one" from a small pool of people. He only has a week left. I'm assuming he is just trying to figure out the right moment to let us know who his running mate will be...........

1. Well what I love about the Obama campaign is that we have no clue.
That's pretty good. No leaks, it appears. Only anticipation on our part.

5. I agree....
I feel its the sign of a well run campaign...
Obama said that there would be NO discussion of it until the announcement...
no leaks, no fuss, no drama.
Love that!

2. Choice has probably been made
Obama just got back from a vacation and got time with his kids. His batteries are recharged.

3. WaPo said "word has it" that none of the potential names have been
notified yet.

But that doesn't mean HE hasn't made his decision.

Someone who has the reputation of being impulsive and short-tempered--<cough cough McSame> would not be the man I would want in control of nuclear weapons.

6. I think he chose before he went on vacation.
I love that they are keeping it a secret. Most campaigns nowadays seem to be rampant with leaks about the internal workings. It's a great sign of his personnel and management that his campaign is so disciplined.

7. I think so
The convention starts in a week so he probably has made the decision. His calmness can drive me crazy but it makes Barack what he is. My dad was similar in that regard and that makes me appreciate Barack's calmness even more.

8. I think Obama's gut was with Biden
from the get go.

He went through the formalities to make sure there his gut wasn't off.

He's calm, because he knows he has the assassin on his side.

"Noun a verb and 9/11"

best political take down since "You're no Jack Kennedy."

11. That was my guess even before the primaries were over.
Although in full disclosure, I had a moment of doubt and wondered about Richardson.
