Obama camp taking tougher tack on lobbyists

Obama's campaign, stepping up their offensive, has put together a list of recent issues relating to John McCain and lobbyists to make the case that he's tainted.

"The American people want a real change, not the same old Washington politics that Jack Abramoff and Ralph Reed perfected,” said Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor.

Included on the list are matters pertaining to Jack Abramoff, drilling, DHL and internet access in which McCain or his campaign aides have purportedly been involved in wrongdoing, political or otherwise.

This is the sort of thing that the DNC would have put out in week's past and seems to reflect the more aggressive posture Obama's campaign is taking post-vacation.

Notably, they've re-thought one line of attack as it relates to McCain and lobbyists: after initially pointing to former Georgian lobbyist turned McCain foreign policy aide Randy Scheunemann to suggest a conflict of interest, the new document makes no mention of his role for a country that is now widely seen as the victim of Russian agression.
