For those of you who want Biden....
Who is your pick for Secretary of State? (and please, not another Democratic Senator)

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

:hi:

Richardson has to have a place in the Obama administration. SOS would be great.

Every time I see her she impresses. She strikes me as very level headed and a very deep thinker.

19. Hagel would be a better fit at DOD
Hagel and Nunn would make good Secretaries of Defense.

10. Kerry
I know, he is a senator, but he can be replaced easily by another Democratic senator.

15. Well, I disagree. I'd love to see him become SoS, and there are definitively
a lot of people that could take his place.

17. I'd love to see that too!
But, realistically, I think that also assumes that Kennedy will beat his cancer and return to the Senate (which I'd also love to see, of course).

16. I think Wes Clark would be a good SOS, as would Bill Richardson
Defense will probably be an anti-Iraq war republican (like it or not), or maybe what's his name? General Anthony Zinni?

18. I'd prefer Biden as SOS and one of the other exceedingly qualified
people as VP --

But if Biden gets VP, I'd like Richardson or Clark.

21. imo Biden would be excellent as SoS, but we NEED him on the ticket...
...in order to confront McCain on this perceived strength ~ especially with the situation in Russia now taking center stage.

Obama has said that he WILL win ~ if that's the case, he needs someone with the gravitas of Biden on the ticket.

Nobody has visited more nations, or has more experience.

There must be room in Obama's cabinet for Santa.
