NYT says it's Bayh, Kaine and Biden--the final three
Blah. The three least exciting choices among the many floated.

1. Biden is the only one of the three I'd like to see
Biden and Clark are at the top of my list.

2. Biden, at least, can give some good, ass-kicking speeches.
The other two? Meh. Especially Bayh. :puke:

4. In fact, they say that the speculation is Biden, Bayh, and Kaine
which means they just do not know.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/19/us/politics/19veep.html?_r=1&hp&oref=login

Going into the final days, Mr. Obama was said to be focused mainly on three candidates: Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia and Senator Joseph R. Biden Jr. of Delaware.

In fact, all the article states as fact is what we already knew, that Obama will announce this week.

6. Of those three only Biden is known outside their local regions
I think Biden has to be the choice at that point.

7. I don't know what to think. It would be funny as hell if Obama
picked someone that made the media look completely clueless. If only he could choose this amazing person that surprises the hell out of them. lol One can dream........

15. Rumor has it he will announce on Wednesday.
The rumor comes from a DUer whose friend works in an Obama office, and she said they got a memo today indicating the announcement wouldb be forthcoming within 48 hours. Also, that the new campaign signage was in route to the campaign offices.

The only reason I question this (because time IS getting short), is that I think somebody at the printers would have leaked.

17. You cant keep a story this big under wraps for too long
They need to have the signs ready. You have to to talk to the VP choice. He has to prepare a speech. In fact by that virtue I expect the VP choice to be preparing their speech right now. (Instead of traveling or coming back from Georgia)

I think its either Bayh or Kaine and my gut tells me that it will be Bayh.

23. So don't you think the printers would have leaked if, as the
Obama worker stated, they're en route to his campaign locations?

I read somebody else say their gut feeling is Kaine :7

I don't have a gut feeling on this one, my brain gets in the way.

You're right about the speech -- not only has to be written, but okayed and most like revised again and again.

21. Biden all the way
His selling out on the credit thing is hard to overlook, but everybody makes a few big mistakes in life. Biden is a strong, experienced leader who brings the right qualities to the table.

22. I'd love it if he chose Schweitzer --or someone none of pundits have covered
much, just to see them scramble.

They don't have much new news -- we've been hearing Bayh, Kaine and Biden for some time now.
