Atlanta says NO to Mcsame
http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/atlanta/stories/2008/08/18/mccain_protest_fundraiser.html

More than 50 protesters marched in front of the Marriott Marquis on Monday, shouting “Bush, McCain, same thing!”

But John McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, was safely inside for a high-dollar campaign fund-raiser.

The protesters were a melding of groups from organized labor, seniors and anti-war organizations. They competed for space and attention with about a dozen young McCain backers.

As the Republicans shouted “McCain!” the protesters added, “Shame!”

Across Peachtree Center Avenue, Georgia Democratic Party chairwoman Jane Kidd and state Sen. David Adelman (D-Atlanta) held a news conference to add a more official voice of protest.

Kidd blasted McCain for only coming to the state to raise money and not to meet with regular voters.

Gotta love that liberal media-the protesters outnumbered the Mcsame supporters by more than three to one. Yet the only picture they publish is of a lone protester among the supporters.

1. The hell with the media. I just hope those protestors, along with
thousands of other Georgians, vote against the BTD in November!

5. Ohhh, there are more than TWO! I'm really hoping against hope that
Ga. will not only vote it's majority for Barack, but kick that AH Saxby the hell out of the Senate!

My biggest concern is that the same damn diebold machines are counting the votes THIS TIME that counted them in 2002 when that arrogant Chambliss was first installed! That election was crooked as my dogs back leg, and nothing has been changed since! I KNOW all the pre & post polls had Clelland winning!

7. We will be voting against Chambliss
We are new to Ga but the first thing we did when we moved here was register to vote.
We are out in Marietta and will be holding a House Party for Obama on September 2-" Right About Now"
To organize getting out the vote in November.
Hopefully we can convince others to volunteer to drive voters to the polls.
If your close and are interested details are posted here.

6. I got there a little late... What I saw....
I came back home after a week in NY.. When I got there, I saw more than 50 people. IT wasn't huge... but it was vocal.
I also saw my first McCain supporters. I can tell you, that that photo is not representative of what I saw.

They were quiet. They looked very uninspired. They looked tired, and disgusted...
One poor lil Feller was wearing a suit.

They ALL walked into the hotel at 5:30... at the same time.

9. I wish I had known about it earlier...
I'm off today and could of attended.
Heard about it on the news.
The first year we lived here we attended a "World Can't Wait" rally and they under reported the amount of protesters than too.
Marched right by CNN headquarters and not even a mention on their broadcast.
