Poll question: Who Do You Choose?
Edited on Tue Aug-19-08 11:25 PM by Kristi1696
Please pick one. And feel free to explain your decision below.

Thanks! :hi:

ETA: Let's say this hypothetical scenario applies to a VP choice. ;)

Edited again: To change "will help" to "can help" because I can't predict the future, lol.

4. In that case...in general, both. This election, one that helps us to win.
I think we get both with Brian Schweitzer.

3. At this point in history, winner takes all, and I mean all of our futures...
Obama I know you are very smart, and I count on you to play to WIN, as a matter of fact I expect a slam dunk from you.

5. Are the two things mutually exclusive?

6. With the two top candidates we have left, they seem to be.
Meaning, it seems that Obama is having to choose one over the other, with Kaine=trust and Biden=win.

8. Disagree with your breakdown.
I think Obama trusts them both, and both could help him win different demographics.

7. It doesn't have to be either/or.
The same person could meet both those criteria.

10. But it probably has to be more of one than the other...
If Obama can find that candidate who does both perfectly, then this decision should be a walk in the park.

But he's probably looking at a scenario where one guy's got a bit more of one thing, and another guy a bit more of the other. So the question of "which one is more important" is still valid, IMO.

11. It's probably about 60%-40%
In favor of who can help him win IMO.

12. Okay. If it is valid, it doesn't mater which one is more important to us,
it matters which one is more important to Obama. We don't have a say in it.

13. True. But I wrote the poll hoping to get a sense of which way DUers would lean...
If they were in Obama's shoes...really out of curiosity more than anything else.

Also, I was curious to see if the answers to this question roughly correlated to DU support of Biden vs. Kaine, which it does seem to.

14. Gotcha.

I didn't respond -- and can't, because if I were in Obama's shoes, I'd keep vacillating between the two. I want someone I'm simpatico with. Yeah, but, I want someone who might be able to help me win. Yeah, but... and back and forth. It's a tough decision -- I don't know how any of them can do it and keep their sanity.

9. Some of both
I want a candidate I feel can win, but I also think we can win without going TOO conservative.
