Where's the headlines? OBAMA IS LEADING McCAIN (Gallup)
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109708/Gallup-Daily-Obama-45-43.aspx

At the same time, the Democratic Party holds a nine percentage point lead over the Republican Party in the political party identification of U.S. adults, 34% to 25%. When independents who lean toward either party are included, the Democrats' advantage expands to 12 points, 49% to 37%, leaving 15% with no party preference.

McCain and Obama have been nearly tied in Gallup Poll Daily tracking for a full week. This sets the stage for a potential shift in the structure of the race resulting from next week's Democratic National Convention. Even an average "convention bounce" for Obama (a 5-point increase in his support) would give him a significant lead over McCain. (To view the complete trend since March 7, 2008, click here.)

put that in your pipe and smoke it McBush!!!

7. My Ignore list has sure expanded.
Between the PUMAs and the conservative plants, I'm up to two pages, and I think I had about five people a few months ago.

2. The troubling thing is the gap between the Dem advantage and Obama's slim lead...
As someone else pointed out today, we need a double-digit win in order to overcome the dirty tricks.

Hopefully, the hardball game will start soon!

3. I think hardball has already started
but my point was that Obama was leading 2 in Gallup and McCain leads by 5 in Zogby. Polls are meaningless at this stage but we need to rock the media to show we are a force to be reckoned with.
