Local Dem. Party leaders not working for Obama...
...Sure, they support him but their support is lukewarm at best in deference to pushing the local party slate. Anyone else having this problem? At one time I hoped, and truly felt that Obama could win SC. Not anymore. I have seen too much of the infighting within the party. It is really sad. If Obama loses, I think it will be because of the lack of unity within the Democratic party rather than what kind of campaign Obama ran.

6. Excellent idea..you can't make some people care
about anything bigger than themselves but you can take over and do their job for them.

7. We are acting locally in our community...
But we can't get to the whole freakin' county or state. That is where we need the support of the local parties!

4. It's not just the Dem party leaders.
Look at all the negative, woe-is-me posts on this board. Too many Democrats love to be depressed and pessimistic. Anytime we have alot of hope and energy and enthusiasm, some asshole within our own party squashs it. This time, it has started with, and has been continuously fueled by the Clintons.

We're not allowed to be happy and optimistic. I can't for the life of me figure out why, but, apparently, it just isn't allowed in the Democratic party.

8. Nope
Here I am seeing much better organization from the Obama people, and have heard little or nothing from the local dems. I have to seek them out, where the Obama people are making some contacts.

10. Yep, sounds true to me.
I had dinner on Monday with someone from my town who has worked in City Hall for many years. She told me that the vast majority of staffers and pols do not like Obama. She said that except for a few diehard Dems. who always votes for any Dem, the rest will not vote for Obama. She said that they will go through the political motions because they have no other choice. I was beyond surprised, this is a very Democratic town.

11. I'm seeing that a lot.
I can't explain why without getting into a flame war. But it's the main reason I think Clinton should be VP.

Then again, this is Texas, so we don't much chance here, anyway. :(
