I know Barack started his candidacy in Springfield, but if she is the VP, that could be a tie-in.

Just a thought.

1. I thought she was from Pennsylvania

3. You can bank on it.
"Springfield, Illinois, 2008. How incredibly proud President Abraham Lincoln would have felt seeing that the beloved Union that he gave his life to preserve would some 150 years later have an African-American man standing alongside a white woman poised to be President and Vice-President of "the government of the people, by the people and for the people" and that they both would hail from his chosen state of Illinois and right there in Springfield." http://journals.democraticunderground.com/David%20Zephyr

6. Hillary was from all sorts of places.
For that matter, she used all sorts of logic.

9. I live in Chicago. Park Ridge is hours from Springfield. It's a small middle class suburb
north of Chicago. Obama often gives speeches in Springfield. He is the senator from IL. I don't see a Hillary connection here. I don't know how much Hillary even goes to Park Ridge any more.

10. Just a guess.
Actually, the VP probably will have nothing to do w/ IL.

11. Yep. About 3 1/2 hours by car.
I don't buy that being a sign at all.

12. Hillary connection:
She was born, raised, grew up in Illinios. Like most of us she has lived in many states, but she is the only one criticized for it.

13. I wasn't criticizing. I was just informing people on the geography.
If Springfield and Park Ridge were near each other this might make sense.

15. Illinois will go Democratic in November if Sen. Obama picks a ham sandwich as his VP.
His VP needn't have ANY ties to Illinois...
