No doubt, if it was a day when even Rove came out of the shadows to give FOX an interview, it was a bad day at the ranch. I think he spent the day doing a slow burn. After all, he's such a brat.

"Well, I was thinkin.... you 'member how you used to fix me up all the time.... with that gurl, and those problems with the State Troopers, and getting me into the Guard and heppin' me out when I din show up fur them silly meetins an all..."

"Son, you got to stop talkin about that. Are we on a scrambled phone?"

"Oh yeah.... right, that stuff never happened. Right daddy, it never happened. But anyhow, I was hopin maybe you and Mom could git over here to Crawford and meet with this guy from Georgia. Just take his letter, say thanks a lot, and make him go way. You kin do that cancha?"

(Poppy looks at his watch)

"Son, I really don't think that's a good idea. You ought to do it yourself. You don't need to be afraid of this guy."

"Dammit, daddy.... I tole you.. I don wanna talk to this guy. Lemme talk to Mommy!!"
