Jimmy Carter spoke at the 2004 convention --anyone remember?

He did not follow the speak no evil of republicans meme, and therefore he ROCKED!!! He was one of the best speakers there. I don't know what happened tonight, but I think an ex President like Carter deserves more respect. He is a Nobel Peace Prize winner, and a great liberal.

1. I am ashamed of the DNC. Ashamed. Angered. And more....

There are only 2 Democrats who can testify that Obama is ready to be President - Clinton and Carter and Carter is BY FAR the best spokesperson. I cannot freakin' believe that the DNC has allowed time for us to watch delegates bob up and down to canned music and DID NOT GIVE CARTER time to speak. Did you see the crowd stand to applaud for Carter when he entered? They were psyched and he wasn't given a chance to speak.

With Caroline Kennedy on the floor I am now wondering whether they cut Carter short to give Teddy time? I doubt it, but the very thought just makes me :cry:

2. CNN said they recieved a note reminding people that

Carter did a tribute film in 2000 and declined to speak at the end and this was probably the case. I think people are overreacting to this.
