New Florida Poll: "all tied up for the presidential candidates here in Florida"
The results were:

Republican John McCain 42%
Democrat Barack Obama 39%
One of the others 6%
Undecided 13%

“It’s all tied up for the presidential candidates here in Florida and we expect our state to
become increasingly important to both campaigns in the coming weeks,” said Marian
Johnson, vice president of Political Strategy for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “A new
factor in this polling data is the inclusion of other candidates as another option for voters in
addition to McCain and Obama. We have to keep in mind that Florida voters will see more
than the two major party presidential candidates on their ballots and some will vote for
them.”

The statewide poll was conducted by August 18-21, 2008 by the Florida Chamber of
Commerce in conjunction with James T. Kitchens of The Kitchens Group, a nationally
renowned polling firm based in Orlando. 605 registered voters statewide were surveyed.
This poll has a 95% confidence lever and an overall margin of error of +/- 4.0% recognizing
that smaller sample sizes increase the margin of error.

1. I heard from my Obama office manager that they have LOTS of
people stationed in Florida. We may just win it.

5. Gainesville is 41-41?! NO WAY.
They must have a hard time polling Gainesville because of the large student population. No way in hell it's 41-41 up here!

4. Who trusts the Chamber of Commerce?
That's like trusting a GOP internal poll. So, since it's so close, that's damn good news for Obama.
