I only caught the tail end when they said - it's not the McCain they know?

Missed it, basking in our own glory...

1. On Leno last night giving his stock response to a question about his houses..
I was a POW. I didn't have a house...I didn't have a chair...I didn't have a table..And did I mention that I didn't have a table..ad naseum. As you saw, the audience reaction was silence.

5. I watched and he is disgusting and pathetic.
In the same short bit, he acted appalled that he was asked how many homes and said the messiah/celebrity smear ads he put out are in good humor.

What a fucking joke he is.

9. Very important point Kahuna, the audience response.
Thank you for pointing that out. McC probably thought he had a great applause line with all of that POW stuff. There was no applause, no cheering for the great hero.

3. McMansion was on Leno last night....
and Leno asked him how many homes he owned and McCain went straight into the POW stuff.

Joe and the others all agreed that it was gloomy and awkward and one of them recalled a time when McCain was at an event years ago and a couple wanted to talk to McCain because they had a son who died while serving with McCain. His staff wanted to make it into a media thing and McCain refused and talked to the couple behind closed doors for 10 minutes while everyone waited. Joe and everyone concluded that this McCain is different from the past McCain and it was sad.

12. What made it worse was that Leno gave McCain an opportunity to be lighthearted about it
Leno's question which was delivered in a cheery game show host cadence was "For $100,000 (or some such figure), how many homes do you own?"

The fact that McCain didn't even play along or pick up on the tone of the question shows that his campaign is telling him "this is your answer. Don't deviate, don't improvise."

I was encouraged by the audience reaction of utter silence. Hopefully, this means the fail-safe POW justification is already played out.

4. his appearance
on Leno when asked how many houses he has. Morning Joe crew said he is a funny guy and went to the POW line about having no table, no kitchen, blah blah blah. They said it was VERY ackward and not good.
Not the McCain he used to be!
Could be McWar has gone to the well too many times now and the MSM is FINALLY picking it up

7. Months ago in one of my daily emails to MJ, I said that McCain's
standard response to any uncomfortable question is, 'I was a POW.' This was after Joe was claiming that McCain didn't talk about being a POW.

he's about as far right as you can get politically.
