Sauteeing Gently in the Big Tent...
Elad and Hissyspit got my pic thing sorted, so I can post pics now.

Himself called and the credit card was there. Thank you, FSM, St. Jude, Ceiling Cat, whomever-- especially the nice honest gas station staff!

So here's a few of the pics so far:

Nice DNC Volunteer at the Motel

The Men In Black Guarding the Perimeter

They were a little doubtful about allowing me to take their picture, but I told them how cool they looked. There was a little nonverbal exchange among them and they finally allowed as how I could take a picture. The one not wearing shades asked me if he needed to comb his hair. What a sense of humor, eh?

The Perimeter They're Guarding

The big cyclone fence extends around the entire Pepsi Center and its environs. At ten in the morning it's pretty much deserted. By the time I head back this afternoon it will be a jumpin' place.

The Big Tent

Inside the Big Tent--Refreshments!

VERY popular. I had a nice turkey sammich for lunch. Everyone is very chipper. Hissyspit and I listened to Dan Rather upstairs. He wants the media to "grow a spine" or "get a spine implant." Good luck, Dan.

Brian got back with the credentials and I'm heading over to the Pepsi Center. More later!

determinedly,
Bright

1. Awesome!
It's great to see how the DNC is on the ground helping the convention attendees. Great stuff!

2. Cool! A Secret Service agent is a friend of mine; he's all business at work (he's protected GWB
every time he's in Phoenix, but is a die-hard Democrat) but very witty and fun off-duty.

But they DON'T messa around on the job--nor should they.

I have one that has a permanent (at least till Nov. 4) "Obama/Biden" pin on her travelling harness! (Yes, the one in my sig pic.)

So good to hear/see everything you are all doing. It keeps us in touch, and feeling like we're a part of Denver, even if we are several thousand miles away!

Edited for stupidity in typing. Even if I last tested at 85/no errors, I DO get excited!
