DO Freepers post negative articles and what progressives say about their candidate 24/7?
Or do we just do that?

Again today, I note that there are many Fox New: says....... here at DU.
Why do we give these regressive outlet the kind of credence that we must see
and comment on everything they do. I already know that Fox is going to say fucked
up things about just about any Democrat.......and so what am I to do with the
negative information provided?

I am supposed to believe that Fox, etal, will ever have anything nice to say about the Democratic Nominee during a general election? Why would I be that stupid.

In the end, DU depresses the hell out of me....especially since the positive articles I try to post usually end up with very few responses.

Sometimes I do believe that Progressives are their own worst enemies. :(

15. Thank you, wondered about this post...
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=6759005&mesg_id=6759052

I had three separate members reply to some of my comments yesterday who ultimately were TS'd.

I found it curious.

Thanks.

2. Freepers have no issue with honesty...
...they simply avoid it.

We, on the other hand, find hypocrisy to be abhorrent.

3. yes, it's amazing how many "dems" watch Fox faithfully and tell us all about it
if there were a liberal/dem network, you can bet the wingers would not be watching it so devotedly.

4. They'd be ignoring it, and certainly would'nt be posting titles that

screams gloom and doom about their own!

I'm kind of sick of this shit.

Half of any election is how positive folks are about the nominee.
These kind of threads I am referring to are meant to bring people down, IMO.

6. I generally avoid any threads that reference FOX news
just as I avoid FOX news in my non-cyber life. Things are bad enough without adding that kind of insanity to it. I have never watched Billo or listened to Rush, though I know progressives who seem to enjoy getting outraged, as if there isn't enough to be outraged about.

liberal and if they nominated anyone other than Tancredo or Hunter the world would end.

Are you suggesting that right-wing nutjobs are more tolerant on self-criticism than Democrats? If so, I disagree.

16. I have enough to keep me busy that I don't spend too much time at freeperworld or similar websores,
but when I have done Google searches in the past to read up on Giuliani's latest error or Romney's most recent flip flop, I've found a link to the article I was looking for and some discussion of the gaffe on a freeper-type websore more than a few times. I think they are as displeased with the "drift toward the center" of right-wing nutjob candidates as we are bothered by a similar migration by any of our candidates.

For example, I'm good and pissed off about Obama's selection of Biden because Biden doesn't reflect my values (here's an example of why http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/aug/23/biden-obama-at-odds-over-lobbyist-donations/). I'm not alone at DU in feeling that Biden was a cop out choice what will ultimately not benefit the ticket one iota (which is not to say that I'm not still 100% behind Obama or that I would ever briefly consider not voting for Obama).

Nevertheless, I bet you that McStrange picks a candidate who is to the left of the typical troglodyte at freeperville. I will also bet you that all the freepers in freeperville go apeshit in criticizing both McCain and his new VP selection when that happens.

17. From what I've seen on FR over the past five years, and on my brief looks at CU,
They seem to be less concerned about what their candidates are saying or their platforms, than what we're saying here on DU. I'm not kidding; they seem to be obsessed with us. How many threads about FR do we see posted on DU? Once in a blue moon. But FR follows DU very closely. We already knew that we're heavily Freeped. But they can't seem to find much of substance to talk about, so they focus on us and our discussions, which they get their jollies out of ridiculing. We discuss the issues and world events. They discuss us...

19. negative news sells on DU. I just posted two favorable polls and they are falling to the ground
One was a positive poll about the Biden selection but nobody cares. If a PUMA posts a negative poll or article it will get tons of responses.
