The GOP Holy Grail - Taking Down Clinton and Obama - The Two Best Democrats
Who are the two biggest political stars in the Democratic party? The Clintons and Barack Obama. They are the biggest fundraisers, and they each have armies of followers. Of course, there is bound to be some tension. However, the tension is heavily exagerated by Big Media. One thing to notice is that many of the so-called PUMA supporters have very little history of involvement in the Democratic party. Will Power, for example, has a very late contribution on record to Hillary after Obama had pulled ahead in the delegate lead, and no other history of contributing to Democrats despite his claims that he is a long time Democratic activist who is somehow able to quit his job.

A couple of points:

1. Hillary is getting hurt as much as Obama by the Big Media focus on PUMA members. The Atlantic story, for example, portrays her as an ineffective leader, primarily for failing to listen to Mark Penn's advice. In other words, although the Atlantic story lists all of the stategies applied by Hillary to attack Obama, it also hurts Hillary given the fact that such candid memos were disclosed.

2. The MSM repeats the same talking points regarding the Clinton story line, which is PURPOSELY DESIGNED TO DISTRACT FROM THE ISSUES. If this election were about the issues, the Democrats would have an excellent advantage. Thus, Fox News and other media outlets rarely discuss actual issues. Instead, they focus relentlessly on spin and counter-spin.

3. Neither Hillary nor Obama are going away regardless of the outcome of the election. In all likelihood, even if Obama were to lose, many of his supporters would support him under the belief that Hillary sabatoged his chances. Likewise, Hillary supporters will believe that Hillary would have won, but for Mark Penn. Thus, Hllary and Obama will continue to be forces to reckon with in the Democratic Party.

Thus, the goal of Big Media is not only to ensure a GOP win, but to cripple both Obama and the Clintons. And, Big Media is doing a great job of hurting both Obama and Clinton. First, they attack Obama for failing to appease the Clinton supporters, then they attack him for being too weak in the face of the challenge presented by Hillary. Likewise, Hillary's bitterness is frequently discussed, then pundits complain that she is too vain, and that she can't letgo, and that it unclear what she wants.

BIG MEDIA'S GOAL IS TO TAKE OUT BOTH OBAMA AND HILLARY, and I hate to say it, but they stand a good shot at this trifecta of a McCain win, and a bruised Hillary and Obama.

1. I particularly agree with number 2
McCain doesn't stand a chance on the issues.

Its Infuriating The Pundits Talking Over and Ignoring The Speakers
Its like STFU or at least discuss the issues being raised. Today, for example, a lot of the speakers are discussing energy, yet its Day 2 and we are still talking about Obama's "Hillary Problem." What? Is there a speaker discussing a "Hillary Problem"? This is not an accident. This is designed to obscure and confuse voters from focusing on the differences between Obama and McCain. Afterall, shouldn't a real journalist cover a story, rather than trying to be a story.

The worst example is David Gergen who was complaining about how the convention was slow. My thought was how the fuck does he know, since he isn't watching, just yapping on and on about Hillary versus Obama. Seriously! How much of the convention can David Gergen watch with his back to the speaker and the floor?

Really David, you are missing a good convention. Michelle Obama's speech was fantastic, and Big Media's agenda and bias are pathetic.

2. Will Power? Somebody actually named their kid Will Power?
Sorry, I know this subject demands more attention, but with a name like that I can't help but raise an eyebrow. Is his middle name "To?"

4. You make a good point!
I didn't even notice that. Does he have a cousin, I.P. Knightly?

When Detroit played Carolina in the NHL finals in 2002, someone dug up a guy in North Carolina named Stanley Cupp. LOL. Guess they'd never heard of the Cup when little Stanley was born.
