My independent father in MI just called me and thanked me for volunteering for Barack...
So that he can now vote for him.

My Republican mother in Florida called to tell me that she is not only voting for Obama, but that she will volunteer for him as well.

-and-

My 89-year old, Republican grandfather in Michigan, who has NEVER voted for a Democrat in his life is "intrigued" by Obama and strongly considering voting for him.

If this is any indication of what is going on in this country...we are in for a BIG CHANGE!

:patriot:

3. I am honored to do so!
And frankly a little stunned at what my family has told me.

We never agree on politics...and now I don't know what we'll fight about! ;)

2. I'm not sure why,
but your post has me crying. I've been fine through this whole convention, but...I guess it is the hope your post makes me feel. Maybe people in this country are finally waking up!

4. Aww, I'm sorry.
But I have to agree, this is pretty overwhelming. If my grandfather is considering voting for a Democrat who is a black man...well, something big is happening.

:D

5. It's like a ray of sunlight
breaking through the clouds after an endless winter.
