1. "I looked at Barack Obama on that stage and thought....
that could be MY son running for President some day"

:wow:

She made me tear up.

7. Very cool. I wept alone too and this is one of those instances
where I wouldn't want to share my raw emotions with anyone else, so I can understand where Michelle is coming from.

8. I fully understood her. I was sort of sad my parents called me right after his speech b/c
I really just needed to absorb EVERYTHING I just experienced in. It was so powerful.

9. she's really come around....
She is an independent and has always said she's center-right. Obama won her over.

10. Whatever her politics are, she's an African-American woman
and that could have been her brother up there. She's never seen that in American politics and neither have any of the rest of us.

I'm a middle aged white guy and i have NEVER been more proud of my country and my party. This is the greatest moment of my life in terms of politics.

11. Very moving - Michelle is a longtime associate of Lynn Cheney and Wendy Gramm
through their work in the right wing, anti feminist Independent Women's Forum, notably funded by the Scaife Foundation.

Her obvious support of Barack Obama after a long career on "the other side" is astonishing and welcome. Will there be others like her?
