Now, President-elect Obama, that, sir, is some tall speechifying.

If I stay up past 9:30, that's something. For me to pay attention to the Tv at all, that is something else. For my arse to eat up the sofa-cushion in between standing up to applaud, that is something else entirely.

Let me tell YOU something. I stood. Don't give a damn who couldn't see. And applauded.

That wasn't a speech.

That was a "you go to church and you're glad to put something in the plate and you don't make change out of it" speech.
