I know people dislike Buchanan, Kristol and Scarborough, but.....
some times these three do tell the truth contrary to what the right wing likes to hear. I have not heard what Scarborough thought of this speech, but both Kristol and Buchanan have stated the speech was excellent. This is in contrast to people like Barnes and other right wing partisan nut jobs who wouldn't say a nice thing about a Dem, even if they cured cancer and made everyone a billionaire.

2. Scarborough and a repub guest were also
talking yesterday morning about how McCain needs to back off and let go this week and not try to overshadow or steal any thunder from Obama by announcing his VP pick right after the speech. They said that he needed to let it go and recognize the truly historic nature of the nomination and the speech and let him have the moment. I was really pleasantly surprised by that.

3. Barnes
Was full of shit. Buchanan seemed to be giving in to pressure. Fox cut off some negative commentary twice in the last 15 min, probably because they are getting an ass whooping in the ratings.

14. FOX will always try to appear "fair and balance" weeks before an election...
It's the days before the election which are killers.

5. I agree with you...I love to hate them sometimes, though. At least,
I won't always turn them off compared to some other people and networks. I can stomach them but I can't the others. I like to get mad at Scarborough but then I just turn the channel for a little while until I cool off. Then at other times Scarborough makes compliments that are very nice to hear coming from him. I think only he and Tweety make me do that. Buchanan doesn't bother me at all because I know he's just an old guy that's predicts a lot of things that turn out wrong a lot of the time! lol He makes me laugh.

6. Agreed. Buchanan is stubborn (and almost always wrong), but not partisan.

15. When it comes to politics sometimes....
I've noticed when watching something, like Obama's speech tonight, there is a simple answer to what it is and what it isn't and over the years, I've noticed there are a handful of conservatives who won't lie about it. The three I named are three of those. Are they partisans? Absolutely. But in my time watching them, they are willing to state the obvious when there are others like Barnes who will lie about it no matter what it is.

12. Buchanon is OK, but Scar and Kristol are pukebags ...
I don't have a problem with Buchanon, but:

1) Scarboro got the sense that Obama was going to ROCK it tonight, and wanted to preemptively sidestep trying to slime it. Dude is a POLITICIAN, he simply saw the sea changes on this. He will be back hammering BO in every disingenious way starting 6 am next Monday.
2) Kristol simply drew the short straw as the only person on their "panel" who was to say anything positive - and I am serious in saying that. In a legion of 100s of right wing assharts, Kristol is EASILY in the top 20.

19. They are deliberately lowering expectations for McCain. Guaranteed Joey Scar does the same
tomorrow.

It's an old political trick; they know EXACTLY what they are doing.
