I mean, he's got an acceptance speech in November, an inaugural speech in January, several State of the Unions...

It seems to me a very western, very capitalist concern that one must keep "topping" one's self. I think part of the appeal of Barrack Obama is that he is attentive to the needs of the moment, and responds to the reality of the present moment.

His present mindedness is really an antidote to what ails us. If we adopt that perspective, there's no need to worry about one speech "topping" an earlier one. I trust that he will tune in to the needs of the moment, and respond appropriately.

7. I agree. I think what makes Obama always "top" himself is that the circumstances change that

what he does differently makes him seem that much better compared to last time. But he is still fundamentally Obama-- it's just that he has adapted.

but his inaugural speech? I guarantee it will be the best speech of this century, even being so young into it. If he wins, I'm driving to DC. I told myself that when I decided to vote for him after hearing his Iowa speech in feb.

Our country and the entire world have already started changing in response to Barack Obama. The most obvious change was Maliki demanding the very same timetable Barack defined, and Bush being forced to accept it. It's happening everywhere people... BARACK OBAMA IS ALREADY IN CHARGE. The reason his speeches seem to keep getting better is because things are already getting better as a result of his existence and his actions, and he keeps talking about what he's going to do next.
