Just Got Back To My Hotel From Invesco Field. It was Awesome
Words can't explain what I experienced today. So glad I went. Took my wife and 22 year old daughter.

Just as I was thinking that there will be no balloons and confetti because it was in a stadium, the fireworks started. People were grabbing pieces of confetti to take home.

The place was packed to the gills. There were so many great moments. One of my favorites was when all the generals and admirals came out in support of Obama.

I teared up several times throughout the day. There were some great zingers. Everybody, Obama included, was kicking McCain in the nuts all day and the crowd loved it. Obama's line about McCain going to hell for Bin Laden caused an explosion from the crowd.

I hope everybody saw the 4 or 5 regular people that Obama let speak near the end. Two of them were republicans (former). One of them was named Barney Smith and he ended his speech by saying that Bush should have cared for Barney Smith first instead of Smith-Barney. The crowd went wild.

I loved it that they let Susan Eisenhower speak. Bill Richardson was electric. Al Gore was, well, you know.

It was a great night.

We're going to win this time. Nothing they can do to stop it.

2. I saw the Barney Smith guy - he was great!
Just an ordinary Joe, but with a fantastic zinger and he delivered it perfectly! I roared!

3. Yes I was really lucky. Took a plane from DC on Wednesday
and started out early Thursday to make sure we got in. My sister and her husband didn't leave their hotel early like we did to get there and they suffered. Don't know how many hours they stood in line, more than three. We stood in line about an hour or so and got in by about 2 p.m. They didn't get in until right before Obama's speech.

5. Yeah, one of the small touches of the DNC that I really loved were the ex-Republicans

and the normal people. They were allowed to come out with some of the zingers, which is so awesome. It shows that Republicans for Obama is a genuine group within the campaign whlie the best McCain can do is scrounge up a few more obscure Republicans to pose as Independents or Democrats.

This night at the Mile High Stadium really does show off that the GOP is basically an old-fashioned country club while the Democrats are where the party is at. We know how to work hard but we also know how to play hard!

11. Yep. Did you see the guy who said that he used to be
a member of the Grand Old Party but that the party is no longer Grand, it's just old!

The crowd went nuts. The regular peolple thing was great. And I say again, the generals and admirals including Wes Clark who got a good round of cheers when his name was mentioned, was a great moment for me.

13. I'm so glad that the Obama campaign got to include Wes.
I think they probably would have wanted to include him but he seemed to be a last minute addition since we didn't know that he was coming to the convention until pretty late notice and he was in Europe.

17. I'm so happy to hear Wes got a nice reception from the crowd
I'm hoping for a video clip to show up of the generals. I was watching CNN and you'd never know it was even happening.

It's the rank and file Dems, the people on the ground in the states and the netroots, who know and appreciate our Democratic General :loveya:

12. Just got home from Mile High Stadium...

WOW!!!

Obama really hit it out of the park tonight!

He really roasted McCain tonight, and succinctly summed up the reaction to Bush & McCain in one word.

ENOUGH!!!

I'm just completely blown away!

15. Everybody was kicking McCain in the balls all day. LOL
Obama kept his powder dry while McCain shot his load prematurely because of the trip overseas.

I got sick of people crying that Obama needs to fight back and he's not doing enough. I've always felt that he was setting things up. And now we can see how it's done. And the good part is, I think he's just getting started. He's got a lot of dry powder left.

There were so many moments. So many.

16. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing the GOP
convention. After last night, I don't see what they can possibly do to stop the Democratic juggernaut.

19. Sounds so awesome-- it was fantastic seeing it on TV-- I can't
IMAGINE how it could be any more exhilarating!!
I saw on the news that Oprah was there for Obama's acceptance speech. She was in tears.

It was, truly, an historic night-- I am so proud of everyone!!

20. I have to admit to you, it made me cry several times to see
so many white people, especially old white people, screaming their lungs out for Obama. What tickled me the most was seeing some white women who were so old they could barely walk, wearing tee shirts that said on the back, "obama, I got your back". I still well up when I think of it.
