So McMaverick wants to delay the GOP convention...
Is that even possible?
If the GOP doesn't nominate him next week, do they risk ballot status as state deadlines pass?

2. It was an issue in '04 when Bush pushed the GOP back to captalize on the 9/11 anniversary
Several states said it was past the deadline and the GOP had to work overtime to get the legislature's to change the rules.

This would be even later. At some point, the legislatures (many of which we control now) have to say "Too late. You don't make the ballot."

6. Gustav - Partying while people in the Gulf are dying
and homes are being destroyed not gonna look good and will remind viewers of the repuke failure on Katrina.

Bet this time they will overwhelm the gulf states with response.
