1. It's fair politics
At least it isn't a smear factory running constantly.

McCain is playing it well. Give credit where credit is due.

I love seeing the media played, even when it's a prick like McCain who's playing them.

2. Take a look at the majority of posts here on DU
They have been questions of who is going to get the nod as well.

3. Yes, but maybe an expected result of the close proximity of the conventions.
The Repub convention is next week and the McMummy has to pick someone today. I'm sure they considered making a selection DURING the Democratic convention but they didn't have the nerve to try that.

5. And so are a lot of people on this board...
which is exactly what they wanted. I bet there are hundreds of repuke eyes on this board, who are laughing at the lunatic postings as to who he will pick.

Let's not give them that satisfaction.

10. It doesn't matter who he picks...
this team(Obama/Biden) is prepared, and more than qualified to handle anyone. We on this board are not going to make a difference. Unless you are talking about getting our material prepared...which is not that hard to do either, and can be done when that VP pick is announced...

9. Relax. Obama's speech has historic resonance beyond one day's media coverage.
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:59 AM by Harvey Korman
And it has huge significance for his candidacy, for anyone who was watching, that McCain can't erase by "changing the subject" the next day.

13. You do realize that this is a race for the White House, right?
I'm never going to complain about a candidate trying to push his opponent off the front page.
