Sarah Palin, a 44-year old former beauty queen, with 1.5 years served as governor is fit, in McCain's opinion, to take over as president if he keels over and dies? Compare this to Barack Obama's decision. You blew it, McGramps.

2. Given McCain's age and questionable health, this is VERY POOR JUDGEMENT
McCain does not look fit and healthy to me -- he is carrying extra weight, it is clear that he is not in as good condition as many of the Seniors who go to my gym.

I think it is a VERY REAL possibility that McCain could have to step down if he were elected. For he and his campaign to choose someone so unqualified to be President is amazingly bad

3. I agree. This is a gift to the Obama campaign
She is not the first woman to be on a Presidential ticket, so they aren't making history. She has such minimal experience (city council and mayor of a tiny Alaskan town)that it is laughable. She doesn't add anything to the ticket at all - no economic credentials, no foreign policy credentials. Nothing.

Geraldine Ferraro was a Congressperson for three terms when she was picked by Mondale.

This is a slap in the face to women, imo.

4. uh, picking a VP has nothing to do with being "commander in chief".
Does show what a lame Presidential candidate he is, however.

(CiC is his role WRT the military, ONLY)

7. wrong, picking a vp has a lot to do with commander in chief
because you are selecting your second in command who will serve as commander in chief if you die.
