Why does McCain hide his adopted Bangladeshi daughter, Bridget?
He only appears at rallies and speeches with the white, blonde one.

Where's Bridget McCain?

1. She's keeping Cindy McCain's half-sister company.

3. That's a rhetorical question right?
The "base" wouldn't be thrilled with it would they?

4. I had heard she wants nothing to do with campaigning
And I can completely get that. Not all kids want a huge spotlight on them as a teenager.

5. I just asked the same thing
She's never seen in public. I've only seen her in a couple behind the scenes pictures. He only brings his blond wife and daughter up on stage.

What that must do to her. I can't imagine feeling like my parents are too embarrased to have me next to them.

"Stay here in the green room honey, while mommy me and your sister go up on stage."

9. It got WAAAAAY too ugly 4 years ago. They're making the right decision.
I wondered the same thing and looked it up. In the 2004 primaries when McCain was running against Bush, Bridget was around. But when people saw her (she was around 13), they assumed that she was African-American, and some even started putting out a rumor that she was McCain's illegitimate daughter. No kid should have to deal with that. So yes, she's away at boarding school this time.

10. I think that was Rove
Who started that rumor.

Hey - I'm bi-racial . . . I'd like Karl to explain what's so bad about being black. . .y'know?
