What kind of judgment leads you to pick a VP choice who is under INVESTIGATION for a scandal at home

Maybe it's hard to pick a member of the GOP who hasn't corrupted the system or broke any laws or that is NOT being investigated but it sure looks pretty bad when going into a Vice Presidential pick "Under State Investigation" is one of the bullet points.

Usually you vet people to AVOID that sort of thing.

Not to mention the whole, husband works for BP, makes $120k w/o a degree while wife as Governor negotiates contract with them.

After the having two oilmen set up shop and gouge every American with record oil company profits and record gas prices, you'd think there would be a little common sense to stay away from that...

Of course he didn't have the common sense to stay away from Phil Gramm who might have had the largest single hand in tanking the economy all around (from the Enron loophole to the Mortgage crisis and more).
