As a woman, I am deeply offended...
How dare McCain pull this crap...

I don't know Sarah Palin, but she knows nothing.
"Gee whiz?" According to Chuckie Todd...

I am offended that she has the nerve to pull Hillary into this...
She has nothing on the honorable Senator Clinton.

And how can she, a mother of 5 kids, energize the Republican base?
According to their standards, she should be home with her children.

And she support teaching 'creationism' in the classroom.

This is a slap in the face of all feminists.
How dare they...
But then nothing they do surprises me anymore.
Talk about pandering...

1. Me, too.
This is not just a slap in the face of all feminists, it is a slap in the face of all American women, on the same level as the choice of Dan Quayle as VP because he was "cute" and women supposedly would vote for him. To even mention her in the same sentence as Hillary Clinton is ridiculous.

3. absolutely agree
Think of all the Republican women who are infinitely more qualified - you don't have to like them, but my God... it's stunning.

4. im insulted too and im not a woman
i mean honestly,
he obviously picked her just because she was a woman to try to play on hillary supporters....
wtf?

thankfully most hillary supporters supported her IDEALS and policies, not her sex...

you wouldnt know that based on McSames pick tho

5. Dan Quayle Or Clarence Thomas?
She certainly has the Dan Quayle thing going, but in terms of being a woman who is hostile to issues of importance to many women, she reminds me of Clarence Thomas who Obama has criticized as a poor pick notwithstanding the fact that Thomas is an African American.

6. McCain is so politically tone deaf it's unbelievable.
He actually believes women will vote for a woman solely on the basis of her gender without regard to her stance on the issues. What a fool.

And you couldn't be more right about her inability to energize the base. Millions of reichwingers of both sexes firmly believe that a woman with small children belongs at home taking care of them. They are going to have a real problem voting for a woman they perceive is putting her career before her family.

Just an incredibly stupid move on his part.

9. This is not a knock on her personally
but clearly, the only reason Palin's there next to McCain is because of her gender.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, had to fight her way into political prominence in this campaign and rose to immense popularity because of the merits of what she stood for and what she said, over weeks and weeks of struggle.

I don't know, but it seems to be that feminists would find this cynical political game disgusting.
