Thank god! It wasn't Pawlenty!
This is suddenly a much better day than I was expecting!

I wasn't looking forward to having ALL other news coverage getting drowned by Pawlenty coverage here in Minnesota!
In fact it was already happening. Last night the local TeeVee news (all channels) merely bill-boarded Obama's acceptance speech and then went immediately to multi-camera, multi-location tape and standups of pure speculation about Pawlenty.

Hairdo: An historic night in Denver as Barack Obama becomes the first African-American to be nominated for president of the United States of America. Let's go live to McCain headquarters in St. paul for reactions.......Stephanie?

Other hairdo: Reaction was mixed, Jason, here at Mccain headquarters, which, as you can see behind me, is a flurry of activity because, as you know, Jason, our own Governor, Tim Pawlenty, is on the minds of most everyone here because of a certain phoooooone call he may soon receive, Jason (winks).

Hairdo: It looks like near chaos, Stephanie (chuckle).

Other hairdo: It's certainly one of the loudest places I've ever ben (ha-ha)! But earlier today I spoke with the man who is responsible for allllll the food you see here at Mc Cain headquarters (camera pans).....and..... he told us that he had a very special batch of cookies for tonight's Obama speech to send over....and(camera pans back)....true to his word (holds up cookie) (chuckling) as you can see Jason,

Hairdo: (actual laugh) Oh my!....

Other H: Yes. Not to be outdone by the hoopla in Denver. The caterer made oatmeal cookies with our own Governor Pawlenty's portrait done up in butter-cream frosting on every cookie! (ha ha ha)

Hairdo: Looks like a lot of cookies, Stephanie!.....wow!

OH: 40 dozen, Jason.

etc etc etc

My next 2 months just got better.

1. Every time someone says "Pawlenty"
I hear "Polenta" ... and think "fancy grits."

2. There's always been Pawlenty of ways to mess with his name!
Not that that's the mature, responsible thing to do. But I have pawlenty on my plate and need pawlenty of laffs when I get home at night!
