Let me say this, if Hillary supporters switch due to this, then there is literally no hope; here is
why.

I could have understood Hutchinson, I can even understand not voting at all due to Hillary not being on the ticket. However, this women has ZERO record e.g. Palin on the issues, and ZERO foreign policy experience. If John McCain unfortunately passes away, the WH WILL be run by the Bush co. conservative neo-cons. This is a SERIOUS national security issues along with the lack of economic policy.

She is pro-life, pro-gun, pro-drill, anti-gay, anti-energy; so wrong on so many issues it is not even funny. If this VP pick motivates Women simply because she is a woman:

YOU WOULD BE VOTING AGAINST EVERYTHING HILLARY CLINTON STOOD FOR AND FOUGHT FOR!

That is all I have to say

2. Hillary needs to get on this asap.
This is where she can most help the Obama campaign. She has to convince women that it has to be more than just any woman.

I thought the conventional wisdom is that Hillary supporters would be furious if Obama had picked another woman for veep? They should be just as furious about this obvious attempt to pander for their votes.

4. I was a die hard supporter of Hillary.....
absolutely heart broken that she didn't win. I'm a Democrat first as are the vast majority that supported Hillary, and trust me, Sarah Palin does nothing to sway my vote. I support Obama wholeheartedly, and am furious that Palin had the nerve to mention Hillary's name.

Furthermore, HRC supporters care about the economy, the war. Why in the hell would they switch to McCain?

Don't worry. Not going to happen.

5. not 100% accurate
To be 100% fair, she isn't really anti-gay. Yes she's opposed to gay marraige, but one of her first acts after becoming governor was to sign a bill giving spousal benefits to same sex partners of state employees.

She's also not anti-energy. I'm not sure how someone can be labeled as pro-drill and anti-energy in the same sentence.

9. And yet she won't even come out for civil unions
Pro-drill means pro-oil companies. Energy can come from multiple sources.

13. yeah, it's contradictory.
She gives benefits to same sex partners, but is against same sex marraige.
It's confusing.

6. I Think We'll See Republican Women Lured Back Home, and *Some* Indenpendents
And if the Democratic internet male base doesn't contain its sexism, Obama will lose female votes of women who will simply stay home. If they can contain it, it should be smooth sailing.

11. Sorry, but reading sexist posts on DU..
does not make we want to vote for McCain. It doesn't even make me want to stay home. And it never will. I will not cut off my nose to spite my face.

14. That's Great
And if every woman who reads sex-based attack posts on DU, Kos, TPM, et al, feels exactly the way you do, it won't be a problem.

8. I Think Sarah Palin Is Fine...
So long as you ignore her views on teaching creationism, abortion, global warming, protecting endangered species, and partisanship.

10. Plus I've seen numerous threads on how she has dissed Hillary
in the past. This candidacy is truly an insult. I'm pretty sure I'd be insulted if I were a republican woman. She has no credibility for the office at all.
