HELP
My sister, a hunting and fishing and gun-rights person who lives in Tennessee just asked me in email what I think of the choice. I think she may have actually gone for Obama -- but the sportsman angle is big to her.

What can I say to keep her on the right side?

3. Is she pro-choice?
Palin is supposed to give a big speech on the convention about being pro-life...

This is serious. Probably my sis is anti war. Will go with the flow of whoever she is around on Religion and Abortion. She was a single Mom. Big on NRA.

whom to vote for in an election, with the nation and the planet in peril, I'd seriously have to question her mentality.

8. I would ask her why SHE isn't the VP candidate...
sounds like she is just as qualified as Palin.

Really, something for her to think about.

12. she's in Tenn. Write her off. Her vote doesn't count anyway.
I live in Utah and in some ways it is a relief I don't have to try and sway anyone in the presidential race. I just try to get them to vote right in local races and leave it alone for prez and VP.

My line will be, if asked, "She's pretty but I don't see her as president."

14. BO answered her last nite....
This is from his website:

Respect the Second Amendment: Millions of hunters own and use guns each year. Millions more participate in a variety of shooting sports such as sporting clays, skeet, target, and trap shooting that may not necessarily involve hunting. As a former constitutional law professor, Barack Obama believes the Second Amendment creates an individual right, and he greatly respects the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms. He will protect the rights of hunters and other law-abiding Americans to purchase, own, transport, and use guns for the purposes of hunting and target shooting. He also believes that the right is subject to reasonable and commonsense regulation.

15. This woman IS NOT QUALIFIED. She has less than 2 years in a statewide office, in a very small state.

Liking hunting and fishing is nice but does not make one qualified to lead this nation.

Ask your sister what if McCain conks out and this woman became president? What if she has to deal with another 9/11 or worse?

There's more important things in life than hunting and fishing.

18. My father votes on one issue alone.
Guns. He lives for hunting. And fishing. So I know what someone can be like when it comes to gun rights. He's one where he feels if you give them an inch (Congress) on gun rights, the next thing you know they'll be taking away your hunting rifle.

I was flipping through the channels and came across one of the sportsman's shows, and there was McSame running an ad in the middle of all the other hunting and fishing ads! I never see Obama doing that. Or, remember Kerry bird hunting?

It's harder to picture Obama as a hunter though, so I don't think that would work, and I don't recommend it. It would come across as being fake, and Obama is no fake.

Hillary went after this vote as well. I myself would like to hear more from Obama on gun rights. He has avoided this issue ( I feel). He has to make these voters feel comfortable that their hunting will be safe with them tomorrow.
