3. The story isn't as crappy as the headline might suggest

Far be it for me to actually defend this Rove-lovin' piece o' carp Fournier, but I'll point out that this particular story does make the point that Palin's selection completely destroys McCain's "inexperience" line of attack.

It's also almost certain that Fournier did not write this headline; rather, some other GOP lover on the AP copy desk probably cooked it up in a blatant attempt to curry favor with the boss.

Because he knows most people don't read the article. That's the exact image the right is going to try to make. If Palin isn't qualified, why in the world do you say Obama is? We have got to get this argument on policy immediately.

7. This highlights PART of why this was a horrible pick ...

For McCain - he made up a LOT of ground beating up Obama for his "experience" and "not being ready to be commander in chief" now, instead of continuing to attack BO with these clubs, he has to DEFEND HIS OWN VP for them - he muted his most effective attacks and forced himself to defend it.

Might I add, the "celebrity" thing - bimbo picks on Vogue and being a TV personality weakens those attacks.

She helps in NO way electorally, has no name.

Just a stunningly self defeating pick.
