Palin - Not Ready To Lead
I was literally in shock as I watched him announce her - like, "you've got to be KIDDING?!"

I hope the GOP doesn't dump the whole ticket at the convention and go with Romney/Crist or Romney/Huckabee, I guess anything is possible. Then again, they may love this pick, as poorly conceived as it may appear to us! People need to understand how bad a decision this is, and I cannot wait for Jack Cafferty's video to be uploaded!

1. repukes don't seem to have a problem with bad decisions
she is anti-women, anti-enviro, anti-gay...
she will energize evangelicals that would have never supported McCain and would have set this one out.

i don't like this.

also, there are plenty of "better" conservative women (although I wouldn't vote for them anyway) who could have been chosen that have been around longer. That is an insult to them.

Plus -- they think I'm gonna vote for McLame because he's got this FEMALE his ticket?
How insulting. She does not represent anything I stand for. That is an insult to me, personally.

I don't vote with my genitalia.

2. great last line!
and great points about what they are vying for by picking her! Ugh... she'll get votes for McLame from guys who want to sexualize her as being his subordinant, from a lot of Evangelicals, and it could be a great pick for him - HOWEVER, it's not gonna be, there's ethics scandals around her, she's EVERYTHING you stated (anti-women, anti-gay, plus not liked by wildlife and animal groups) and she really didn't come off to AWARE of the world - and Biden will hopefully HAMMER her in the debate as being clueless and not ready for prime time...

3. yes, but here's the kicker on that...
Biden will HAVE to be polite with her, otherwise it will look like he's bullying her.
I wonder how Obama's peeps will solve this for a debate?

If she gives any kind of attitude, she will come off as a
witch-with-a-"b".

I wonder what the heck the debate will look like.

4. hmmm
that's troubling. however, I have heard Biden's calm voice as you have too, I'm sure, and he'll know when to talk to her directly, and when to lash out at their incompetence without seeming to attack her. Certainly a situation that needs proper handling... they've probably already discussed today! :)

5. With McCain's age, the VP choice is critical!
If McCain & Palin are elected, she'll be one pretzel away from the Oval Office, and if something happened to him, she'd be completely unprepared to lead the free world.

6. while I agree with you...
I think this will motivate the evangelical right, which does not like McCain.
But they will go vote now...now that she's on the ticket.
The hard right is elated. Not good.
