Palin: Hillary Clinton's "Whining" Turned Me Off
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/29/palin-hillary-clintons-wh_n_122504.html

When Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin arrived backstage for our NEWSWEEK Women & Leadership Event in Los Angeles last March, John McCain had just wrapped up the GOP nomination. Palin had yet to endorse McCain--she liked Mitt Romney--and as we waited in the green room, I urged her to "feel free" to make some news on stage. She grinned broadly--looking back, I guess it was a grin of the Cheshire Cat variety--and thanked me for the offer.

Once onstage, together with Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, Palin talked about what women expect from women leaders; how she took charge in Alaska during a political scandal that threatened to unseat the state's entire Republican power structure, and her feelings about Sen. Hillary Clinton. (She said she felt kind of bad she couldn't support a woman, but she didn't like Clinton's "whining.")

4. Typical Repuke thinking.
This has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with the Repuke idea that pointing out problems constitutes "whining" or "negativity," etc. How they figure any problem can ever be solved without someone first acknowledging it is beyond me. Then again, I'm not sure they care about solving problems that don't affect them personally. But if they see someone with a food stamp card, hoo boy - get ready for some major whining about the millionth of a penny it's costing them...

8. This presumes that Hillary was ever really a consideration for them ...
... and that a large percentage wouldn't have voted for McCain in the general, regardless.

10. Of course. That's why they need to be called out.
They can't say that they ever really supported Hillary, if they're now willing to support Palin.

7. Is there a video of this?
Put this together with the "I don't know what a VP does" clip and toss in some news footage of her state investigation for the abuse of power scandal..

Personally there's a bit too much respect being thrown out there by Biden/Obama for this woman and not enough of a defining of her. The first 24 hours are critical in defining someone new to the national stage.

11. The Obama campaign should play this in an advertisement, along with her record on choice.
Does McCain really think Hillary supporters, hardcore pro choice voters, are going to vote for him because he picked someone with a vagina for the ticket?

How insulting. Country first, my ass. Self interest first, eh?
