Has anyone else noticed that...

...the Pentagon Israeli spy scandal has effectively dropped out of the news?

Even here on DU, there is not one single thread regarding the scandal on the first page, yet there are countless threads dedicated to the swift boat veterans.

I can't help thinking that the White House or the Pentagon got exactly what they wanted by leaking the story on the Friday news dump day - the story has quietly been hush-hushed over. By Monday, nobody will even remember that it happened.

F*ck the media. I'm sick and tired of hysterical, screaming lunatics like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and lowlife buzzards like Wolf Blitzer and Robert Novak covering up every news story that could hurt Bush.

The story does not have much momentum at this time. Maybe it will be a topic on the sunday shows. Not holding my breath for Wolf to bring it up.

I am aware that there were many threads on this last night. That is my very point.

Last night, everyone was (rightly) abuzz over the fact that Israel has infiltrated the Pentagon. Now, what would under any other circumstances be a death blow to the President and the Secretary of Defense...has dropped off the radar screen.

Instead of the news networks discussing the fact that an Israeli mole infiltrated the highest levels of national security and possibly influenced the U.S. strategy in the middle east....they're still blabbering on about the Swift Boat veterans. :wtf:

Sometimes I feel like we're living in a strange Orwellian society. The media is controlled by the government and no longer broadcasts truth, but instead spreads propaganda. It refuses to cover any stories that are damaging to the government. We're in a bizarro world, weher left is right, up is down, in is out and black is white.

I can tell you that if Clinton were in the White House instead of the Chimp, you can be DAMN SURE that the media would be covering this story 24/7, non-stop around the clock.

Don't worry, this was not a WH leak. This story is not going to go away.

I haven't fully wrapped my arms around all the elements of this yet. I have Challabi, Wolfowitz, Feith, Perle, Office of Special Plans, Plame and Scooter Libby all in the mix, with a dash of paranoia that this latest might turn out to be posturing to invade Iran.
