Hillary just upgraded to "OMG, I wouldn't want to be standing in her way"
With all the talk about how obviously unqualified Palin is to step up to the plate as VP - I hadn't really thought much about Hillary's reaction.

With all of Hillary's hard work and dedication to her causes throughout her career - to be so insulted by McCain by his clueless pandering that any vagina on the ticket would do - I can't even fathom the level of fury he's just unleashed (but I'm popping the corn in anticipation)

Where Hil & Bill have done well in their support of Obama, they are not about to let this former beauty queen step in and steal the brass ring that Hillary's been working towards for most of her career. The money, the machine, the raw ambition that makes the Clinton's such a formidable force in politics has been given a totally new focus.

A direction to vent any resentment over not winning the nomination.

A desire to battle real sexism vs the M$M promoted type during that primaries

A burning to make sure this woman isn't the first

Even a passion to slap back at the "pretty woman vs the smart, well qualified woman" so often getting picked (and maybe even vent any resentment she's still holding on from Bill's wandering ways)

I think Gov Palin is about to get a taste of life in National politics the likes she has never even contemplated could exist. Karl Rove is going to wind up looking like a lamb next to Hillary's lion. The kitchen sink? Ha, she's gonna throw the whole damn Village at her.

I may go long on futures for popcorn and butter. This is gonna be delicious...

3. I am wondering about Hillary's reaction to this too.
I pity the fool Palin.

5. She's the first one I thought of too, since Palin gave her a "shout-out" in her speech.
I think that shout-out was really a slap in disguise and we shouldn't stand for this. I remember the crowd yesterday booed loudly at Hillary's name, but did she stop them like Obama used to? I truly forget if she did or not.

6. I'm with Wolcott on this one. Clinton lessens herself by addressing Palin....
That would give useless credibility to Palin.

*Which is why I agree with Roger Ailes that Hillary Clinton shouldn't be coaxed into a counterstrike Palin's candidacy--"If you're going to do a commercial with Senator Clinton, do one where she talks about Obama and their shared priorities. Having Clinton address Palin is unworthy of her, and a waste of her talents."

7. Since when do we take advice from Roger Ailes?
Repeat after me--Republicans do not have our best interests at heart when they give us unsolicited advice.

10. I don't think they'll take the bait. I think Pelosi -5 kids who WAITED until they were grown...
before going into politics will go after her.

11. I was not a Hillary fan, but she owns that ceiling and the 18M cracks.
She's the one to break through it, and I'll help her. As a woman, Palin is a poster child for setting us back 50 years.
