4. After the mind-blowing success of the Dem. convention, I bet they wish they could put off theirs
for another week or two, just to put more space between their shindig and ours. Hurricane, hell - they're probably wishing for a tsunami.:hi:

2. Yup. They now have an excuse why their convention wasn't as exciting
or enthusiastic as the Democratic one. Too bad. But all that really matters this week is that as few people as possible are killed, hurt, by Gustav. That is what matters most.

6. Yeah. And then, of course, they'll claim they couldn't build up enough momentum because
they had one day less than the Dems.

7. I'm sure a lot of them consider Gustav a gift from God (and Jerry Falwell). It will serve
as their uber-excuse for anything and everything that goes wrong.

5. Yup! I totally agree. We will still see sick and "concerned" repuke faces
but now they can pretend it's because of Gustav.

9. And Bush must be doing his little tap dance routine, now that he doesn't have to risk
getting booed by his own party.

8. Agreed. There were a lot of Republicans that didn't want Bush anywhere near the convention.

10. What will they do with all those empty VIP seats that were reserved for Bush, Cheney, Condi, Alberto
Harriet, Bolton, and the rest of the gang?

15. What happens if the storm blows over? I'd love to see that.
Somehow they are getting people to believe the storm is going to blow St Paul & the Twin Cities region off the map.......didn't anyone look at a map.
