Frankly this is stunning to me. This is simply common sense! We are talking about someone who could end up the most powerful person in the world and McCain just decided to pick her on a gut feeling???? HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Is he going to run foreign policy like that? Imagine he gets wind of some dangerous rumor and he acts out of gut and instinct and doesn't wait for the facts? This shows a reckless, lazy, immature, unpatriotic, disregard for the office of the presidency. Fuck, I wouldn't hire someone to work at McDonald's without doing a criminal background check on them and McCain didn't even check the local newspapers on this woman.

Quick! Someone from Amway or Juice Plus get this guy signed up! He is an impulse buyer just like Bush is!

1. They don't intend on keeping her.
I honestly think they needed something quickly in order to crush Obama's thunder after his magnificent speech, so they used her. I know this is a rag, but there could be something to this:

Capitol Hill Blue is no worse than any other paper out there today.

I do agree with the other posters. There is no way this will not hurt McCain. He has clearly shown why he is not fit for the Presidency. If he is using Palin, with no intention of keeping her, then that is not cutthroat politics, it is evil. If he did intend to have her as VP, he did not vet her, and it is a slap in the face to every single American that he would treat such a crucially important decision so lightly.

15. Well, if he picked her and then dumped her
in a rational world that should be end of story.

Notice I said "rational" and "should".....

4. He can bait and switch all he wants
but the fact remains we would have had no leg to stand on if these issues weren't already there.
Had he VETTED her, as he should have, none of this would have happened.
So taking her off the ticket would just be career suicide.

5. Interesting.
But I think if he ditches her he looks incompetent. But I'm hoping he doesn't mind looking incompetent. Actually, he looks that way now.

13. They are just a bunch of spoiled, privileged, red necks with below average IQ's
who got where they are purely from connections and wealth. It's very scary and beyond belief they often end up running this country.

14. I'd bet if we got out the dictionary/thesaurus
We'd both be pretty much sharing the same definitions/metaphors, etc :)

There's one basic word to define Obama and his followers..

Decent.

I really feel that Obama's "Enough!" expletive is on the same par with whoever stood up to Mcarthy and said, "Have You NO Decency Sir!?"
