Are they going to steal it? Listening to Gov. Siegelman on Ring of Fire
Has me a bit worried. Apparently we only are aware of the 00 and 04 Presidential Elections. But according to Siegelman, he has known Rove for yrs. And apparently he has been stealing state and local elections since Bush lost to Clinton. To hear him tell the story how they stole his election in Alabama is scary. He was declared the winner. The court house closed down. And then Rove's cronies went back in and opened it up and took 5200 votes from him and gave them to his opponent.

1. Somehow we have to have securty cameras on as many things as possible....
in the hope that we can catch them red handed.

There is not alot we can do about the DRE's but a ballot stuffing video would be a nice christmas present.

11. Cameras make no difference with Diebold or ES&S or Sequoia
Nothing has changed- we are still using machines that can and will be rigged- photos do nothing- it all happens internally and since most people don't believe this is reality, nothing has been done to demand verifiability (such as demanding access to the source codes). Segelman is correct- be very worried. We need a landslide. Period.

3. Somehow our dem. candidates raise money and earn lots of
votes, but have them stolen and no one raises cain? It seems like it is a win win for both sides?

4. The real question is -
will the Democrats let them steal it again? Thanks to Greg Palast and a few others, there was plenty of evidence that 2000 and 2004 were stolen, but the Democratic party did nothing.

13. Al Sharpton seems to be doing something
He's got a thing he's calling the "Not This Time" campaign.

...

"We are coming out of here dealing with voter protection and voter registration," Sharpton said. "We're going to send people into key states in mid-September to go into churches and community centers and have people give us their names to check their registration so that we don't wait until Election Day and find out they're not registered."

Sharpton said the campaign is called "Not This Time" because the intent is to prevent a repeat of the voting debacle of Florida in 2000, as well as the voting problems that were reported in Ohio in 2004. George W. Bush was victorious in both cases.

"We feel they robbed the election in 2000 in Florida, but not this time," Sharpton said. "We feel they robbed the election in Ohio in 2004, not this time."

People are signing up to help to register voters and check voter rolls, Sharpton added. The National Action Network will work with the National Urban League, the Southern Christian Leadership Council and the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.

5. I am from Ohio--Kerry won here- no doubt about it
There was a precinct in Franklin county that showed Kerry with negative 2,717 votes. It is impossible to get negative votes, yet it happened and was certified. This is a fact that has been proven, but the national press never picks it up.

6. If they steal it, we'll steal it back
Our people count the votes in Ohio this year, not their people.

8. PA is loaded with touch screen machines.
That state went for Hillary in the primary, if they steal the election, I expect PA will be key? And the Palin pick is "cover."

Siegelman should shout this story from the roof tops.

14. Thank you for bringing this up. I can't believe how dismissive people
are of all the election fraud, whether by electronic vote thefts, paper vote thefts, voter intimidation, or voter misinformation.

17. Thank you, and may I mention
that we are in need of news collectors on the Election Reform forum?

As far as I know at the moment, we are down to two per week. We used to have one for each day. livvy and I are the only remaining, it seems. We would be happy to welcome more appreciated volunteers!

Please PM livvy or myself, or post a message here:
