BUSH applauds Palin as McCain's Vice-Presidential pick.
Edited on Sun Aug-31-08 11:50 PM by Bluebear
WASHINGTON, Christian Newswire/ -- The following text is a statement by President Bush:

Today, Senator McCain made an exciting decision in choosing Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to join him on his ticket as the Vice Presidential candidate. Governor Palin is a proven reformer who is a wise steward of taxpayer dollars and champion for accountability in government. Governor Palin’s success is due to her dedication to principle and her roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and serves as a wonderful example of the spirit of America. By selecting a working mother with a track record of getting things done, Senator McCain has once again demonstrated his commitment to reforming Washington.

I applaud Senator McCain for selecting Governor Palin. This decision is yet another example of why the American people can trust him to make wise decisions and to confidently lead this country.

5. Preznit sure can spot a "wise steward of taxpayer dollars", huh?
She left Wasilla $20 million in debt.

What an idiot, and what an idiot. Palin and Bush are powerful arguments for the theory that our species evolved as far as it ever would, and then began devolving.

13. I'm pretty sure this doesn't help
Especially since McLame apparently wants to "seperate" himself from Bush, but BAM- Bush praises him for this stupid choice. Yeah, they're polar opposites, those two.

16. I think they want him to lose.
If McCain is supposedly stepping out of the "box", why is George W. Bush so happy about it? You would think the McCain camp would want to be drawing nothing but fire from GWB to solidify this fantasy of him and Palin being "mavericks". This was nothing but a slap on the back and pat on the head from the "boss".

 As much as McCain tries to run away from Bush, Bush always draws him back in.
