OMG! McCain Is NO LONGER GIVING SPEECHES. Palin is Doing All the Talking!
I've been listening on radio and catching the rallies (via C-SPAN) and the one thing I'm noticing: She's doing ALL of the talking.

Here's the creepy part: McCain is always standing behind and beside her and he keeps fidilling with his wedding ring finger ALL OF THE TIME.

In fact, in the current rally I'm watching (sorry, don't know where it was), you can't even SEE McCain's face (it's hidden by the teleprompter!).

WTF? Has he totally given up and is allowing her to run the show entirely?

9. Seriously? WTF?
These have been the 2 most common reactions I've been having these past few days and it's because of the McCain campaign.

WHAT THE HELL? Is he actually trying to get people to vote for him at the top of the ticket based on who his VP is? Seriously?

11. While we have Barack and Joe on 60 Minutes
looking like ten million bucks. Two incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, and articulate men, who clearly like and respect each other, and are undoubtedly committed to the ideals upon which this country was founded.

Our ticket is something that happens once in a few generations - a visionary presidential candidate who has the confidence to select a running mate who will be a powerful compliment and partner, not a cipher. Obama/Biden is a dream ticket.

12. I think he's totally misjudged Obama's popularity.
Maybe he really believes the "celebrity" line and thinks that Barack draws the huge crowds ONLY because he's young and good-looking. Maybe he thinks people will pack stadiums to hear Sarah Palin speak.

Uh, no.

15. I think that part of it's a campaign ploy to make McCain seem younger.
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 12:38 AM by arewenotdemo
To put in the minds of male voters the thought, "I bet he'd like to hit on that".

Fooling with his wedding ring helps to create that perception.

Adds to the McCain maverick flyboy persona.

16. That's the Friday clip where she first spoke and he kept LOOKING AT HER ASS.
Turn off the sound and just watch him. It's hysterical. I'm surprised he didn't grope her right then and there, but I guess with Cindy watching he didn't dare. And yes, he's fiddling with his goddam wedding ring, too. Classic body language of a man who can't wait to cheat.

26. It is obvious that
Republicans hate intelligence. The last president they elected with a brain was Nixon. All they want is someone with enough intelligence to follow instructions from Cheney types without too much trouble. They went a little overboard with Bush2 and now with McCain.

35. I saw McCain this weekend
He was in our area and I happened on an impromptu meet and greet. He shook hands, gave a little canned spiel about voting for him, introduced his "lovely wife Cindy," and introduced Palin who waved but said not a word. I didn't really get an impression of Palin, but McCain left me with the impression of someone quite frail and somewhat confused. I wonder how his health is.
