I know the REAL reason 'She' was chosen...
She's a natural, compulsive, serial, liar. She is what the entire chattering class of Republicans has become: Liars, pure and simple. All they do is lie, they can't tell the truth under any circumstances. If you ask a Republican what the color of the sky is, they won't and CAN'T say blue. If someone with no experience comes along, they're the MOST qualified; if someone who's amoral and corrupt arrives, they're pure as the driven snow; if someone is promiscuous then they're virginal.

What the Republicans have been doing for years, with the Democrat's assent in a way, is projecting all their sins upon the Dems. When they couldn't dispute Clinton's intellect or abilities as a politician, they pilloried him for lying...about sex. When they couldn't compete with Kerry's record in the military, they called him a seditious traitor and a coward, while their candidate was AWOL at everything he EVER was committed to do in his life, but especially his military service. When Gore was clearly the most qualified, they projected the notion via people such as Maureen Dowd, that he was a liar and puffed up his resume and had bad tasted in clothes(!).

Palin is a liar, she has lied about virtually everything in her introductory speech, she removed the reference to Hillary Clinton because Clinton's name was booed in Western PA, by a bunch of rednecks who, I'm sure, made her feel as though she was up in the land of Alaska. She is the epitome of what makes the Republican Party what they've become: narcissistic, compulsive, liars, who are Hell-bent on destroying everything which America has become over the last 75 years, so that they may return to the 'glorious' days of Herbert Hoover and Calvin Coolidge.
the rule has become: Lie all the time. Ensure that the lie is so outrageous, so transparent, that the other side is left sputtering and gasping for air, then quickly proceed to the next lie. And on and on.

At long last, we need to stop this. What may be our last chance to prevent this from being utterly and firmly entrenched occurs this November.

1. I agree, I actually feel she is a pawn fror
the evil people known as republicans. All of my alarm bells are going off about her. This should scare the crap out of people but what we'll find is those who support this ticket are the brainwashed, the dregs and the non thinkers of our society.

People should be very alarmed, very.

2. The continuous dishonesty is truly appalling.
But it wouldn't work at all if the vast majority of Americans were not as dumb as stumps. With an electorate stuck on stupid, they can say anything they want and never be called on it, so they do. If all Americans were as smart as you and I, there wouldn't be any Republicans. Who would they lie to then?

This suggests that the answer is to educate the voters. But it can't work, because the voters in question are highly resistant to the truth. They watch Fox News. They listen to Rush. They don't want to be educated. They enjoy being dumb.

I am beginning to wonder what makes this country worth defending anyway, given that it's full of fools, idiots, and "Jaywalking All-Stars". Is America great? Or was it?

4. That's a little pessimistic.
I'd like to believe that no more than 35-40% of Americans are "dumb as stumps." These people, the sheep:

I have to be optimistic. If not, we are in dire straits.

I'd also like to believe that the uneducated can be educated. However the majority of them are probably uneducable. A 10% gain here would be a great start...of monumental proportions.

5. I guess I am a bit over-pessimistic today.
But I would suggest that the "stump" percentage is higher than 35-40%. My sister and I have talked about the ongoing decline for years. She used to think that 70% of Americans were too dumb to deal with, now she says it's up to 85%. Of course, she lives in rural Florida!
