Hurricane Barack scares GOP into canceling their convention
This had nothing to do with Gustav. The spectacularly successful Democratic convention shocked the Repugs into the political equivalent of wetting themselves. I don't think I've ever seen a major party panic in this way.

3. I think it might have more to do with Palin
to give her more prep & practice time. Big difference between speaking to a few hundred in Alaska and 15,000 at the GOP convention and millions on TV.

4. Except the selection of Palin was also a panic move
McWorse has been in a tailspin since Obama's speech.

5. Hilarious!
I do believe you are correct. Obama's acceptance speech was exceptional, and I don't know about you, but I could feel that something had changed, much like I felt something had changed when the USSC selected Bush, but this was an incredibly good feeling.

6. The Republican Party is in shambles.
Their factions are in disarray and a
good portion of them are running for cover.
Yup, major party panic is a good description.

8. And we need to be careful. A panicked animal is dangerous and unpredictable.
Who knows how far they'll go to win this election? We know Cheney and * are facing prison time if a Democratic president starts poking around.

10. You nailed it.
The cancellations are about hurricane Barack and the GOP having no answer to the DNC.

14. Has no one said it yet?
I'm just wondering why no one has yet made the remark that the Republicans would say that God is sending a message to the GOP.
