Based on a NY times article on her money from being the sole beer distributer in AZ - clearly part of the Mafia congolmeration controling alcohol distribution. The company is privately held so they don't have to release financial records.

Somebody investigating it years ago was inconveniently blown up by a car bomb when he started his car.

2. My father's family's Alaska wealth was also tied to the mob

via the teamsters back in the 70s. The new mob had hooks in everything semi-legal.

The point is that she is trying to paint her father as some sort of American Dream come true. Truth is John McCain has been helping helping the family maintain their wealth since the 90s.

They probably sold it all recently to distance themselves from the reality of murder, bootlegging and a history of campaign donations to McCain.

4. Read the article. This is post depression and involves bigger crimes

that extend into the 70s. And campaign contributions that continued into the 90s, "Maverick" years.
