Strong McCain supporters. A few quotes ...

"Who the hell is she? Why did he pick her?"
"Is he nuts?"
"They're trying to replace Hillary with her?"
"I want a woman, but not just any woman!"
"The governor of freakin' Alaska! WTF?!"
"McCain's not going to last a full term and we'll be in trouble is she's president!"

They haven't switched to Obama, but said they probably won't vote at all. :-)

1. That's better than voting for McCain.
Good news, indeed!

Thanks, BattyDem.

8. I'm still trying to convince a couple of the more "open-minded" people to vote for Obama
For the very first time, they were willing to listen. What impressed them the most? BIDEN! Not only because Biden is more than capable of being president, but because Obama was smart enough (and humble enough) to choose someone who is so obviously qualified. :D

2. I love these stories!
I forced myself to watch that Frank Luntz (republican a-hole) focus group on C-Span last night, and after watching a clip of Palin, the vast majority of the people in the room (swing voters) raised their hand when Luntz asked them if the clip had made them feel WORSE about the Palin pick.

5. Same here, East Texas
Although most of my relatives up there aren't fundy nutcases, just greedy bastards to who resent "welfare queens" and are kinda racist.

6. People who don't vote, make me just as sick.
However, this is good news because there is a chance they might vote with enough convincing from you. :D

7. I'm amazed that they were awake enough to question anything.
Did they miss their next dose of RW media Kool-ade? These few free thinkers will soon be "disappeared" or assueded by a strong dose of propaganda. Don't worry.

9. I don't think so. It's the first time I ever heard ANY of them criticize McCain.
His VP pick may very well be the last straw. They always bought into the whole McCain "maverick" image, but now they think he's just a stupid old man. Also, they're hurting because of the high food and gas prices ... and they're really fed up.

Most won't ever vote democratic (I may be able to convince 2 or 3 to switch sides), but the fact that they plan on staying home is HUGE because they always vote. Of course, I'd like them to vote for Obama, but NOT voting for McCain is almost as good. :-)
